What consumers should expect from a Professional Painting Contractor:

• Did you receive a typed estimate accurately defining the scope of work?
• Does the contractor have a minimum of 10 years experience?
• Will the company perform the work with their full-time employees or will they
  use subcontractors?
• Did you receive recent references with names, addresses and telephone numbers and call them.
• When you call their office, do you receive courteous and prompt response for
  setting appointments?
• Does the contractor carry general liability and workers' compensation insurance on
  their employees?
• If you award the contractor the project, ask their insurance carrier to send you a certificate of insurance before work begins.
• Did you receive a set price on the proposal? If additional painting or repair work is required a change order should be prepared outlining the additional work and cost.
• Did you receive a written warranty?
