Do you charge a fee to provide an estimate for my paint job? We never charge a fee to provide an estimate for your painting project.

How long will it take to paint my house? The process can take as little as 3-4 days from the time we contact you. However, it can take longer depending on the condition of your surfaces, the type of work required, and weather conditions if the project involves exterior work. During our consultation with you, we will evaluate your situation and let you know how long we think it will take to complete your painting project.

How much money can I expect to pay for my painting project? There are many factors to consider when determining painting costs. Condition of surface, size of project, and the complexity of the refinishing itself all factor into the price of the project.

How do you determine the amount you will charge for my painting project? There are many things to consider including the condition of your paint surfaces, the extent and cost of the painting and refinishing required, and how fast you need the project completed.

When is the best time of year to paint the interior of my home?  Carl’s Painting will paint your interior space any time during the year. The most economical time is January, February or March.  Painting companies are trying to keep their full time employees busy and will offer more discounts at this time of year.

Does Carl’s Painting do faux finish?  We do almost every faux finish available today.  This includes ragging on and ragging off, sponging, Milan texturing, and color washing.

Is it recommended that I move my fragile items or furniture?  We recommend you move your fragile items and wall hangings. Carl’s Painting will move your large furniture and cover and protect it.

Do you do dry wall repair or apply texture?  Carl’s Painting is experts at knockdown, sand and orange peel texturing.

I have wallpaper that I would like removed. Do you provide that service?  Absolutely. We will give you an estimate on the cost based on how much paper there is and how long it will take to remove it.

Exterior

I am getting new windows, siding, gutters, or roof.  Should I paint first?  Painting is always the last thing you do.  Carl’s Painting will accommodate your schedule and fit you in after the work is finished.

Do you brush and roll or do you spray?  We brush and roll all surfaces on residential exteriors.  The only things that are sprayed are empty spaces, new construction or commercial buildings. 

Is it recommended that I be home during your estimate of my exterior space?  Try and make the appointment for a time when you are home.  It is an advantage to you to meet your painting contractor in person.  This also gives you an opportunity to ask questions and inform him of specific details of the job requirement.  However, Carl’s Painting can provide an estimate if you are unable to be there.
